An Australian owned engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking Environmental Specialists to compliment their existing Natural Resource Management team. The team has recently won a number of projects and are seeking environmental planners or scientists that can become involved in project work straight away. The team is involved in a variety of areas within NRM but their work is mainly focused on environmental impact assessment, environmental planning approvals, developing construction environmental management plans and post-construction environmental management system implementation. Some of the work will involve on-site environmental management, although the majority of the work will be office based. The team is currently involved in a major highways project but there is also the opportunity to work on projects within the resources and petrochemical sectors. There is also the opportunity to work on projects throughout SE Asia on an ad hoc basis. The organisation is involved in a number of aid and rural development focused projects throughout Asia for which they often utilise consultants within their Australian offices. The team is relatively small at this stage but my client will be looking to increase organically over the next couple of years as the organisation utilise resources to develop their environmental capabilities. This could be a good time to join the organisation allowing candidates to cement their name within the business and become one the senior members of the team during this exciting time. The successful applicants will hold around 5 years experience within environmental consultancy focusing on environmental approvals, EIA, EIS, environmental management or developing CEMPs for major infrastructure projects. Ideally you will hold some on-site experience and the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, government organisations and internal stakeholders. You will hold excellent report writing skills and an education in Environmental management or similar.
